Single Player is the core game mode available to players of Dune: Spice Wars, as opposed to multiplayer. The single player game mode allows players to play the game on their own, and allows for slowing down of time in the game; this also allows for the functionality for pausing the game.
Description[edit | edit source]
Game Modes[edit | edit source]
There are currently two game modes available to play in single player, with a third currently in development with an unknown release date.
- Battle for Arrakis: Battle for Arrakis is the standard game mode in Dune: Spice Wars. It includes playing with three other factions—which are chosen by the AI—in the open world map of Arrakis. Players are able to make several customisations to the game in this mode, such as controlling the map size, as well as other variables such as which win conditions are enabled and which are disabled; this allows for fine-grained control over gameplay for a more customised and immersive experienced based on the play style and player experience.
- Kanly Duel: Kanly Duel is a much smaller, compact, game mode and allows for only two factions to be fighting for control of Arrakis. Once the player has chosen their faction, the other faction is automatically chosen by the AI.
