Multiplayer is one of the two game modes available for players in Dune: Spice Wars allowing players around the world to play competitively against one another in real-time.
Players are able to play two modes within multiplayer. One allows players to team up and play competitively with a friend in a 2v2 game mode, whilst the other allows players to play an all out free for all with four players. Players can chose to join a random game, or they can either create their own lobby and provide other players with a randomly generated code that allows them to join the lobby. This is useful for players wishing to play with their friends.

Multiplayer allows players to select one of the four available factions for play and in turn, allows them to play against other players around the world in real time. Players are able to create their own lobbies and select their faction, and can also select the difficulty of each faction.
There are numerous settings players can change:
- Map Size;
- Sandworm Activity;
- Storm Activity;
- Seitch Hostility;
- Victories;
- Assassinations.
