Dune: Spice Wars Wiki

Peaceful Annexation is one of the faction bonuses available for players opting to play as House Atreides. Peaceful Annexation allows players to take control of Villages without directly going to war with them.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Peaceful Annexation is only available to those playing as House Atreides, and is available from the beginning of the game and does not need to be unlocked. Peaceful Annexation allows players to take control of nearby Villages without expending military troops or inciting violence, therefore may be an option for those will small armies or armies busy elsewhere on Arrakis.

To Peacefully Annex a village, players can click the flag above the village as oppose to moving their troops nearby. This takes around 15 days, and requires the players to pay the Water, Influence, and Authority costs of that village. Once a Village has been Peacefully Annexed, it will be under the control of the player.

Advantages[edit | edit source]

Players may be torn between the decision to attack a village or peacefully annex a village. There are three main positives to using the Peaceful Annexation ability on a village that are not found when attacking:

  • The militia of the current village will join your faction, meaning you will save resources as you do not need to necessarily train the militia to protect that village.
  • You do not need to own a territory nearby, and players can use the Peaceful Annexation ability on villages far away from their capitol.
  • Other factions are not made aware that you are peacefully annexing a village, and only find out once the village has successfully joined the Atreides faction.
