Machine Scrap is a resource found throughout Arrakis for those playing as the Fremen. Destroying mechanical units and pillaging villages give scraps that can be used to build airships, and is thus, an alternative for Guild Favor, for those playing as the Fremen.

Machine Scrap is found throughout Arrakis, and can be found through pillaging villages. This scrap can then be used to build airships for travel on the surface of Arrakis. Given the Fremen cannot collect and exchange Guild Favor, this is the only way that they can build spacecraft.
