Ornithopters are small transport vessels available for player use throughout Dune: Spice Wars. They are advantageous within battle as they are able to detect enemy units and the position of sandworms within the game. They may be used in conjunction with other assets, such as unique units or military units[1].
Ornithopters have a particular advantage within gameplay as they cannot be attacked by enemy units and therefore are relatively safe.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
Ornithopters are small transport vessels, but are also used for recon purposes. Players are able to send out ornithopters into the field of Arrakis, which will discover new parts of the map and allow players to engage with them; this includes discovery of small villages or spice fields.
Statistics[edit | edit source]
Ornithopters are available for purchase at a rate of 500 gold coins, with an upkeep of 2 coins. Players starting out as House Atreides begin with one ornithopter but have the capital and assets to purchase another straight away.
